One way
to enjoy and display prints of beautiful art on a limited budget is
to buy prints in standard sizes.
This way, you can select an inexpensive ready-made frame instead of
having the print matted and framed by a professional (which can cost
hundreds of dollars).

You should easily
be able to find pre-made frames for the prints on our site which are
marked with an asterisk(*). The most common frame sizes are (in
inches): 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, 12x36, 16x20, 18x24, 22x28, and 24x36. We
have also occasionally seen ready-made frames in sizes 10x13, 12x16,
20x24, 20x28, and 24x30.
Keep in mind: the
measurements usually refer to the total paper size of the
print or poster, and not the image size. Always email the art
affiliate before ordering the item you're interested in, if you have
any questions.
Also, there is a
difference between good-quality heavy art print paper and thin poster
paper, and this difference can affect the appearance of a print you
wish to frame and display. Some of the prints in standard sizes
(especially the larger inexpensive ones, like a 24x36 print for
$7.99) may be printed on lightweight poster paper. Not all of our art
affiliates always make this perfectly clear, so we recommend you
email the company and ask, if the paper quality is a matter of
concern to you.
A less expensive option
for framing a non-standard-size print is to have it
professionally matted so that it fits a standard size frame.
Professional matting is still less expensive than complete framing.
Also, matting a print protects it and helps keep it from warping.
